Never Again!
I will never again rent or buy a house that has the kids bedrooms on a different floor then the main room. At least not until they are teenagers and no longer are scared of everything under the sun. Taylor has become afraid of everything noises the dark, bugs you name it she is scared. So every night we have the battle of getting Taylor to sleep in her bed and not mom and dads. Poor girl has 2 night lights in her room and still wants the big light on all night. I am counting down the days that we can move into something better for us and the kids. The house we are in is really nice but once again the bedroom situation is awful. OK enough of me whining!

It must be an age thing, because Isaac is also getting scared of things at night - doesn't seem quite as extreem as Taylor, but he's still afraid of the scary monsters or spiders in his room. The other night it was scary frogs... I hope they outgrow it!
Jared is the same way, I finally got a moon night light from Ikea and a bunch of glow in the dark stars. It lights up the whole room but I don't have the screaming, and its like sleeping outside.
I am looking forward to the day when my kitchen table isn't in the same room as the family room so the kids don't think they get to eat while spreading food all over the living room. the roller sking looked like fun.
How are you? We miss Roseburg! Enjoy it while you're there ... looking back, it really was a cool place to live:) We're enjoying life in VA -- getting into a house soon. Yah! Give our best to Mike for us, and a hig to your cute kids.
